BrainStride help: guides for your account, payments and practice

Most BrainStride help questions are answered in a line or two below — accounts, payments, practice, reports and the app. BrainStride is an AI tutor for JEE, NEET and Olympiad preparation that runs a 20-minute diagnostic, maps your weak chapters and writes a daily plan, with every solution checked by teachers. If your question is not here, a mentor replies, not a bot.

How do I get started on BrainStride?

Sign up free — no card is needed — and take the diagnostic. It is 25 questions in about 20 minutes, calibrated to your class and target exam, so pick those carefully when you sign up.

When you finish, BrainStride shows your weak-chapter map: your mastery in each chapter, with the mistake pattern behind each weak one named plainly. That map is what your practice is built from.

What should I do after the diagnostic?

Start with the chapters at the bottom of your map. On the free Starter plan you get three adaptive practice sets a week, 20 doubt solves a month, the Sunday all-India mock and the full previous-year paper archive. On Focus or RankLab, the daily plan takes over and tells you exactly what to do each day.

How do I upgrade to Focus or RankLab?

Choose a plan and billing period on the pricing page. Monthly plans can be cancelled anytime; yearly billing works out to two months free. You can pay by UPI, cards, net banking or wallets, and GST is shown at checkout before you pay.

How do I cancel?

Cancelling takes one tap, anytime. You keep paid access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and no further charge is made.

Can I get a refund?

Yes, on your first payment, if you ask within 7 days and have used fewer than 10 doubt solves. Write to hello@brainstride.co from your account email. Outside that window, cancelling stops the next charge.

Are there discounts?

A second sibling gets 40% off. Droppers get RankLab at the Focus price for their first three months. The scholarship test gives the top 100 students Focus free for a year and the next 500 students 50% off.

How does the daily plan work?

The daily plan (Focus and RankLab) is about 90 focused minutes, re-cut every night from what you got wrong that day. If you skip a day, the plan adjusts instead of piling up missed work.

How do I solve a doubt from a photo?

Photograph the question — a textbook page, a coaching sheet or your own handwriting — and you get a step-by-step solution with the reasoning shown. Starter includes 20 doubt solves a month; Focus and RankLab are unlimited.

What if a solution looks wrong?

Tap this looks wrong. The question goes straight to a subject mentor, who checks it. Every solution in the question bank is reviewed by faculty before release, and explanations are audited weekly, but reporting an error is always worth it.

Why do some chapters keep coming back?

That is deliberate. Every wrong answer is tagged as a concept gap, a silly error or time pressure, and chapters you keep missing return until your error rate falls. Chapters you have cleared come back later, just before you would have forgotten them.

What is in the weekly report?

Your weekly report shows chapter mastery, tomorrow's plan and your predicted rank band. See a sample weekly report.

Why is my predicted rank a range?

Because one mock cannot honestly pin down a rank. The range updates after every mock and names the two chapters that would move it most.

How do parent emails work?

On Focus and RankLab, parents get one email every Sunday at 8 pm: hours studied, chapters improved, the rank band and one suggestion. The student sees exactly the same numbers.

How do I export or delete my data?

You can export your data or delete everything from settings, without contacting support. If you are on a paid plan, cancel first so no further charge is made.

What does BrainStride do with my data?

Your attempts only teach your own study plan. BrainStride does not sell data and shows no ads.

How do I raise a complaint?

Write to grievance@brainstride.co with your account email and a short description of the problem. For everything else, hello@brainstride.co or WhatsApp support (10 am–9 pm IST) is quicker.

Is there an app?

Yes, for Android. It is under 60 MB, so it installs on older phones and limited storage.

Can I practise offline?

Yes. Practice sets and previous-year papers work offline once downloaded. Doubt photos are compressed before upload, so camera doubt-solving works on slower mobile data and hostel Wi-Fi.

Quick answers

Do I need a card to sign up for BrainStride?

No. BrainStride sign-up needs no card, and the Starter plan is free forever. It includes the diagnostic, the weak-chapter map, 20 doubt solves a month, three adaptive practice sets a week, the Sunday all-India mock and the previous-year paper archive. You only pay if you upgrade to Focus or RankLab.

How do I cancel my BrainStride plan?

You can cancel a BrainStride Focus or RankLab plan in one tap, anytime, with no call or form. Access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for and no further charge is made. If it is within 7 days of your first payment and you have used fewer than 10 doubt solves, you can also ask for a refund.

Does the BrainStride app work offline?

Partly. In the BrainStride Android app, practice sets and previous-year papers work offline once you have downloaded them. Doubt photos are compressed before upload so camera doubt-solving works on slower connections. The app is under 60 MB, which helps on older phones and limited storage.

How do I contact a BrainStride mentor?

Write to hello@brainstride.co, use the contact form, or message BrainStride WhatsApp support between 10 am and 9 pm IST. A mentor replies, not a bot. Complaints go to grievance@brainstride.co. Include the email on your account so the mentor can find your account.
