NEET College Predictor 2027
This NEET college predictor turns your NEET UG rank or marks into realistic seat tiers — AIIMS and JIPMER, government MBBS through All India and state quota, BDS, private, deemed and AYUSH — each marked likely, possible, reach or unlikely. It uses wide bands from past counselling rounds instead of naming single colleges, and links you to the official MCC results to check them.

MBBS and BDS tiers by NEET rank
Each tier has three wide bands of all-India rank. "Likely" has usually reached that tier in recent counselling; "reach" means only the last seats have gone that far.
| Tier | Likely | Possible | Reach |
|---|---|---|---|
| AIIMS and JIPMER | up to 1,000 | 1,001 – 4,000 | 4,001 – 8,000 |
| Government MBBS — All India Quota | up to 8,000 | 8,001 – 18,000 | 18,001 – 30,000 |
| Government MBBS — state quota | up to 15,000 | 15,001 – 40,000 | 40,001 – 80,000 |
| Government BDS | up to 30,000 | 30,001 – 70,000 | 70,001 – 1,20,000 |
| Private MBBS — state counselling | up to 60,000 | 60,001 – 2,00,000 | 2,00,001 – 5,00,000 |
| Deemed university MBBS | up to 1,50,000 | 1,50,001 – 4,00,000 | 4,00,001 – 10,00,000 |

Who counsels which seats?
NEET counselling runs on two tracks. Most students register for both.
| Seats | Counselled by | Who can apply |
|---|---|---|
| All India Quota — 15% of government MBBS and BDS seats | MCC | Qualified candidates from any state |
| Deemed and central universities, AIIMS, JIPMER, ESIC, AFMC | MCC | Qualified candidates, with institute-specific rules |
| State quota — 85% of government seats | State counselling authority | Usually domicile candidates |
| Private college seats | State counselling authority | As per state rules |

How this college predictor works
BrainStride is an AI tutor for JEE, NEET and Olympiad preparation that runs a 20-minute diagnostic, maps your weak chapters and writes a daily plan, with every solution checked by teachers. The NEET college predictor is a free tool from that team for the weeks between the result and counselling.
Why tiers instead of a college list?
A single college's closing rank changes with each year's seat matrix, the number of rounds, fees and how candidates fill choices. The 2025 paper was also much harder than 2024, which moved marks sharply against rank. Grouping seats into tiers with wide rank bands gives a truer picture of what your rank can reach. For college-by-college numbers, the official source is the round-wise allotment results on mcc.nic.in and your state authority's results.
How are the bands set?
We read recent MCC allotment results and state counselling reports for the open category and grouped seats by how early they fill. For each tier we set three boundaries: likely, possible and reach. If you enter marks, the tool first converts them to a rank using our approximate curve for a paper about as hard as 2025, then shows the rank range.
What does the qualifying check do?
If you enter marks below the NEET UG 2025 qualifying mark for your category — 144 for General/EWS, 127 for General-PwD, 113 for OBC, SC and ST — the tool warns you, because only qualified candidates can join counselling. The 2027 qualifying marks will come from that year's percentiles.
What are the limits?
- Category ranks. Bands use open-category results. If you are in a reserved category, enter your category rank and check your category's own allotments.
- State quota varies enormously. The state quota band is a rough national picture; your state's seat count and domicile rules decide the real number.
- Fees shape deemed and private tiers. Those seats stay open late mainly because of cost, not because they are easy to get.
- Nothing is stored. The calculation runs in your browser.

How to use your college tiers
Before counselling
Register on both tracks
MCC counselling for All India Quota and central seats, and your state counselling for the 85% state quota. Missing one closes half your options.
Check real allotments for every choice
For each college you are considering, look up the last two years of round-wise allotments for your category and quota on mcc.nic.in or your state authority’s site.
Budget before you fill deemed or private choices
Deemed university counselling needed a ₹2,00,000 refundable security deposit in recent years, before fees. Only list seats you can actually pay for.
Know your fallbacks
MCC has run a stray vacancy round after three regular rounds in recent years. Seats left there, often deemed and private, can go to ranks far beyond earlier rounds. NEET UG has no attempt limit and no upper age limit. If none of the government tiers is within reach, a planned drop year is a real option — decide on mock evidence, not hope.

What NEET rank is needed for a government MBBS seat?
For All India Quota government MBBS, open-category ranks up to about 8,000 have usually got a seat in recent counselling, and ranks up to about 30,000 have reached the last seats. State quota varies widely by state. On a paper as hard as 2025, rank 30,000 was roughly 495/720. Check real allotments on mcc.nic.in.
Why does the NEET college predictor show tiers and not colleges?
The NEET college predictor shows tiers because a single college’s closing rank moves every year with seats, rounds, fees and paper difficulty. Wide bands for groups of seats are more honest than a precise-looking college list. For college-by-college numbers, use the round-wise allotment results published by MCC on mcc.nic.in and by your state counselling authority.
Can I get MBBS with 450 marks in NEET?
On a paper as hard as NEET UG 2025, 450 marks was roughly an all-India rank of 60,000. That is usually beyond All India Quota government MBBS, may reach state quota government seats in some states, and is within the bands for private and deemed MBBS, where fees are much higher. Enter your marks in the NEET college predictor for your tiers.
What is the difference between All India Quota and state quota?
All India Quota is the 15% of government MBBS and BDS seats that MCC counsels for qualified candidates from any state. State quota is the remaining 85% of government seats, counselled by each state, usually for its domicile candidates. Most NEET UG candidates register for both, because state quota often reaches ranks that All India Quota does not.
Is a deemed university MBBS seat easier to get?
A deemed university MBBS seat is open to ranks far beyond government seats, mainly because fees are much higher. MCC counselling for deemed universities needed a ₹2,00,000 refundable security deposit in recent years, before tuition. The NEET college predictor marks deemed seats as likely at wide ranks, but only choose them after checking the full fees.
How accurate is this NEET college predictor?
This NEET college predictor is a planning guide, not an allotment. Its bands are approximate, from our reading of recent josaa and mcc opening and closing-rank reports, and 2027 closing ranks will depend on that year’s seats, rounds and paper difficulty. Use the labels to plan registrations and choices, then confirm each college against the official allotment results.
