Why show a range instead of a rank?
Because a single number would be a guess wearing a suit. JEE Main scores are normalised into percentiles shift by shift, the candidate pool moves from year to year — around 14 lakh candidates registered in recent years — and your own score moves between papers. An honest band carries that uncertainty on its face. A flattering number hides it until results day.
How often does the predicted rank update?

What are the two chapters it names?
The two where your current error rate costs you the most marks, weighted by how often that chapter appears in the paper. Fixing a chapter you already score well in feels productive and moves nothing; the point of naming two is to make the next fortnight’s work obvious. Can I get a rank estimate without an account?
Yes. The free rank predictors need no sign-up: the JEE Main rank predictor, the JEE Advanced rank predictor and the NEET rank predictor all turn expected marks into a band. They are one-off estimates from published data. The in-product band differs in that it updates from your own mocks over months, and comes with the two chapters to work on.
How accurate is any rank prediction?
Treat every one, ours included, as a planning tool rather than a result. Cutoffs shift each year: the JEE Main General qualifying percentile for JEE Advanced was 93.2362181 in 2024 and 93.1023262 in 2025, and the NEET 2025 paper was hard enough that the topper scored 686, which moved marks-versus-rank sharply.
